The D25481K 1-9/16 in. SDS Max Combination Hammer, with its durable and hard hitting German engineered mechanism delivers 6 joules of impact energy for fast drilling, even in the hardest concrete. The light weight design makes it ideally suited for horizontal serial drilling for #4 - #8 rebar, coring and chipping in any mid to upper wall and ceiling application. The Active Vibration Control (R) technology employed delivers reduced user vibration for less user fatigue and greater productivity.
These rotary hammers accept SDS-Max bits, which drill larger-diameter holes and perform heavier-duty chiseling than SDS-Plus bits. They are commonly used for pipe running, rebar dowelling, concrete repair, channel grooving, and light demolition applications. Their L-shape orients the motor and transmission vertically to increase impact energy, makes the hammer more compact than other styles, and centers the weight of the tool for optimal balance. They have an enclosed grip that protects against rough surfaces and protruding objects. The grip positions the hand behind the bit to keep the tool steady and control the amount of pressure applied to the bit.
